Our History

Started as a cause has now reached milestones

Founded in 1998 as “The Academy” under the leadership of Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Eminent Faculty, Patna University, the institute was established with a clear vision to provide structured and quality guidance for Civil Services aspirants. Over the years, it earned a strong reputation in Patna and across Bihar for its disciplined approach, comprehensive General Studies programs, and result-oriented preparation for UPSC and BPSC examinations. In 2022, The Academy was rebranded as upGrade IAS, reflecting a renewed commitment to modern strategies and academic excellence.

With over two and a half decades of experience, upGrade IAS has guided thousands of aspirants and produced 150+ UPSC selections and 1000+ BPSC selections, including prestigious posts such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, SDM, DYSP, Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, and District Education Officer.
